Slow, gentle pressing, an initial low-temperature fermentation and several months’ ageing in vats during which malolactic fermentation takes place (50% with and 50% without fermentation) guarantee maximum fatness and roundness while retaining finesse and freshness of flavour.
Yellow lobe with golden highlights
The floral and fruity bouquet hints at fresh hazelnuts, almonds and white fruits.
The palate is characterised by mineral and toasted almond aromas, with a light note of fresh hazelnuts, a hint of pineapple and a lovely acidity on the finish. The slight bitterness is characteristic for the Chamoson terroir.
Ideal as an aperitif, Johannisberg goes perfectly with asparagus, fish and soft cheeses.
