A wine to pair with Valais chamois stew or very strong cheeses.
Known in Valle d’Aosta as Cornalin, red humagne has no similarity to Oriou, despite tenacious legends. A grape variety that ripens very late, for optimum quality results it will need to be given plots with a warm, generous climate.
