Known in Valle d’Aosta as Cornalin, red humagne has no similarity to Oriou, despite tenacious legends. A grape variety that ripens very late, for optimum quality results it will need to be given plots with a warm, generous climate.

Vinification in vats and wooden eggs

Ruby red colour.
Nose of ivy leaves, violets and a fine spicy note.
On the palate, a rustic wine with powerful tannins, aromas of red berries and oriental spices.
Serving temperature: 12-15°.

A wine to pair with Valais chamois stew or very strong cheeses.
