Back

Only planted in the vineyards of the Upper Valais in the past, Heïda is now also enjoying a place of honour in French-speaking Valais. Heïda and Païen are the Valais appellations for Savagnin Blanc, the grape variety behind the famous vin jaune du Jura. It is a variety of the Traminer family.

Vinification

Slow, gentle pressing, an initial low-temperature fermentation and several months’ ageing in vats during which malolactic fermentation takes place ensure maximum fullness and roundness while retaining finesse and freshness of aromas.

Robe

Golden yellow

Nose

Apple, lemon and dried fruit notes.

Mouth

Notes of lemon, dried fruit and plum. A rich, virile wine with a lovely dense, complex structure and lovely discreet acidity.

Gastronomic pairings

Heïda accompanies fish, seafood, mountain cheeses but also traditional Valais dishes such as raclette and Valais plates.
