HISTORY

Only planted in the vineyards of the Upper Valais in the past, Heïda now also has a place of honour in French-speaking Valais. Heïda and Païen are the Valais appellations for Savagnin Blanc, the grape variety behind the famous vin jaune du Jura. It is a variety of the Traminer family.

VINIFICATION

Slow, gentle pressing, an initial low-temperature fermentation and several months’ ageing in vats during which malolactic fermentation takes place to guarantee maximum fullness and roundness while retaining the finesse and freshness of aromas.

ROBE

Golden yellow.

NEZ

Musky notes of lime and dried fruit.

FLAVOUR

Lime, dried fruit and plum aromas. It is a rich, virile wine with a lovely, dense, complex structure and discreet acidity.

GASTRONOMIC Pairings

Heïda accompanies fish, seafood, and mountain cheeses but also traditional Valais dishes such as raclette and Valais plates.
