The Constellation vintage varies its blend according to the year. Each vintage is magnified by the hand of a Swiss artist. The illustration for this Constellation is by Simon Berger, a Swiss glass artist known worldwide for his glass paintings. The vintage was entrusted to him by a jury chaired by Gérard Jugnot, an iconic figure in French cinema.

History

Raised from low-yielding vines selected from the best slopes of central Valais, this blend is made up of Syrah, Merlot and Cabernet Franc.

Vinification

A carefully controlled maceration for 25 days, followed by 18 months’ ageing in mostly new barrels, the origins of which have been selected according to the specific characteristics of each grape variety.

Robe

Intense red with purplish-black and purple highlights.

Nose

A broad bouquet characterised by notes of tobacco, fresh leather, black fruit, liquorice with hints of spice and roasting.

Flavour

There are aromas of black berries, subtle notes of spice and roasted oak, supported by firm tannins. Fresh and harmonious finish.

Gastronomic pairings

The Constellation is the perfect accompaniment to grilled poultry, red meats and cheese platters.
