Located in the Margaux appellation in the Médoc, Château Monbrison since 1855 has been classified as the 5th Grand Cru Classé de Margaux. The grapes are hand-harvested and double-sorted, and the traditional vinification continues with 14 to 20 months’ barrel ageing. The blend of grape varieties – Cabernet Sauvignon – Merlot – Petit Verdot – makes this a wine bursting with ripe red and black fruit. On the palate, it reveals itself with a fairly full-bodied attack before offering a well-structured mouthfeel. The finish is elegant and long.
