Château De Chantegrive Graves 2019 75 cl
Created in 1966, the Château de Chantegrive is part of the Union des Grands Crus de Bordeaux. This forward-looking family estate in the Graves region is run with passion and precision to produce wines that are unmissable in the Bordeaux region.
Chantegrive’s 160 vineyard plots stretch over 36 hectares in the heart of the Graves. The twenty-year-old vines are planted on a terroir of gravel, pebbles and fine sand on clay-limestone soil. The vineyard is meticulously tended and managed according to the principles of integrated farming.
The wine is fleshy and powerful when young, becoming velvety and full as the years go by. The clay-limestone subsoil provides balance. It combines freshness and finesse for the two key grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. On the nose and palate, wild red fruit and ripe black fruit dominate, mixed with spices to finish on a touch of freshness.
