Château Chasse Spleen Moulis en Médoc 2017 75 cl

The Chasse Spleen 2017 has a beautiful intense dark garnet colour, a brilliant and limpid wine. On the nose, spicy notes reminiscent of curry with, at this stage, hints of brioche and toast. The attack is fresh and expressive. The structure is tight, with tannins that are both powerful and soft, provided by the fine Cabernets (Sauvignon and Franc) of this vintage. The wine has good length and great flavour, with good ageing potential.

Between Margaux and Saint-Julien, Moulis-en-Médoc is the smallest appellation in the Médoc. The Château Chasse-Spleen covers 80 hectares of Garonne gravel and clay-limestone soil. The soil forces the vines to draw from deep within the soil in order to hydrate. This principle produces a richer aromatic density in the grape berries.

The vineyard is certified “Haute Valeur Environmental” and attests to the good environmental and health practices practised within the farm.

42% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Cabernet Franc, 6% Petit Verdot
